The Blood Will Never Lose its Power

The Blood Will Never Lose its Power

By Andrea Crouch

The blood that Jesus shed for me

Way back on Calvary

The blood that gives me strength

From day to day

It will never lose its power

Chorus

It reaches to the highest mountain

It flows to the lowest valley

The blood that gives me strength

From day to day

It will never lose its power

It soothes my doubts and calms my fears

And it dries all my tears

The blood that gives me strength

From day to day

It will never lose its power

Repeat Chorus

I normally begin my devotionals with Scripture, but today the above referenced song is on my heart and mind. On October 29 I will be 73 years of age. Unbelievable that I have been on this earth for that long. But what is even more amazing is the blood of Jesus, that covers covers you and me, is eternal. While Jesus was crucified around 29 A.D., we are told He was with us from “the foundation of the world.” When our world was still chaos, God saw our need for a Savior.

I have to confess I cannot explain eternity, but I believe it. I believe the original sin into which you and I were born can only be covered by the blood of Jesus. I believe that His blood does give me strength, it gives me power and it is a covenant made with God Himself that cannot be broken nor undone.

Hebrews 10 (NIV) 19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
